VI. Research and Dissertation
Implement in accordance with the related regulations of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
1. Postgraduates of master degree (Ms. Students) should learn both theoretical courses and practical research work. Each Ms. Student should have a supervisor.
2. Ms. Students should make research topic selection reports based on thorough literature review, give presentations to experts of the same field, and receive experts’ enquiry and suggestion before they begin the practical research work. Only after the topic selection report has been approved can Ms. Students begin to do research work and write their Ms. Degree thesis.
3. Ms. Students should listen to at least five public academic reports during the learning period. For each report, they should make records using a universal record book and get a signature of the reporter or moderator. Before they apply for the thesis assessment, they should hand in the record books and get corresponding credit after being approved.
4. After Ms. Students finish their thesis, their supervisors should examine the contents of the thesis, while the management sponsor of school should check the styles of the thesis. After that, the thesis can be handed for assessment. The list of thesis reviewers should be approved by the management sponsor of the school.
5. Scholarships can be evaluated and awarded to some Ms. Students according to their courses scores and research quality.
6. Some Ms. Students who severely obey academic morality should be deprive the qualification of Ms. Degree application.
