I. Objectives
a. Master the basic theories and systematic professional knowledge related to transportation engineering. Grasp one foreign language and be proficient in professional reading and basic academic writing.
b. Cultivate rigorous and practical scientific attitude. Grasp the basic methodology and technical skills of scientific research. Possess the ability to undertake scientific research in the specialty field.
c. Be qualified for teaching of the specialty or related specialties, or engineering work or related scientific managerial work.

VI. Research and Dissertation
Implement in accordance with the related regulations of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
1. The educational plans for graduate Include courses and practice, and the teachers are responsible.
2. Before formally enter into research, graduate students have to write the topic report based on the widely reading, make a report to the discipline experts, and reply to the experts' doubts. Only after the topic report is passed, can they begin with the master's thesis.
3. Ms. Students should listen to at least five public academic reports during the learning period. For each report, they should make records using a universal record book and get a signature of the reporter or moderator. Before they apply for the thesis assessment, they should hand in the record books and get corresponding credit after being approved.
4. After completed master's thesis writing, the audit of tutor and passed through formal examination of related head, master can submit paper review. The list of reviewers will be approved by related head.
5. Scholarship is depended on academic research and the evaluation of academic.
6. Master with accredited serious academic anomie cases will be cancelled degree eligibility.
